CULTURAL REWILDING presents the gold-prospector and explorer David Wynford Carnegie who in the 1890s was the first "white fella" to cross the western desert. Despite his practice of kidnapping Aboriginal Australians in order to find water, he was able to provide some insights on these native people yet to be annihilated by the encroaching Western civilization.
