CULTURAL REWILDING proposes ethnographies that can contribute to our understanding of different indigenous societies. They are the last surviving testimony on our hunter-gatherer ancestors before they were wiped out by invading civilizations. If modern people have learned to portray them as solitary, nasty, brutish and short these ethnographies depict them as happy and in harmony with each other and the surroundings. The following are summaries that enables readers to compare among different hunter-gatherer societies from different bioregions of our planet. For more information check out our "Learning from Hunter-gatherers" book coming up in the B section of this website or consider visit the circle we are creating in the little dolomites as a tribute to our ancestors (see A section).
