Alberto Frigo Cana (1979) was born in the Italian alps. Having moved to North America, he began to film his life as a homeless person. Journaling and using off-the-shelf equipment to record his life on the road he began to conceive the idea of being a modern hunter-gatherer. Over the years, this idea has been confirmed by his assiduous reading of ethnographic studies conducted among the last indigenous people to inhabit the planet. His love for the wilderness and his family and his concerns with our industrial society and any form of coercion have convinced him of the need to rewild not only the environment but especially our humanity. His 36 year life project is the result of his life-long hunting and gathering culminating in a small ecology in the alps, a 3 km art-route where he stewards the rewilding of the land while making art promoting a more indigenous way of life.
