CULTURAL REWILDING presents a 7.6 meters high cube made of 15.552 metal pixels. Each pixel corresponds to one month of an aspect of reality experienced by a subject since 2004 when he was 24 years old. Not only he has learned to live like a modern hunter-gatherer foraging data from his everyday life but he also has become highly mindful as mindful were hunter-gatherers in relation to modern humans who are engaged with a more automatized way of life.

The project includes 1.000.000 photos of all the objects the subject has used in the course of his adult life, 432,000 of his dreams, 93,312 of the songs he heard, 25,950 of his thoughts, 77,760 of the public places he visited, 3,456 portraits of the people he met, 38,880 ideas coming to his head, 6,912 collages of the trash he found on the sidewalk, 10,368 shapes of the clouds he observed and much more.

Ogni pixel corrisponde a un mese di un aspetto della realtà sperimentato da un soggetto a partire dal 2004, quando aveva 24 anni. Non solo ha imparato a vivere come un moderno cacciatore-raccoglitore, raccogliendo dati dalla sua vita quotidiana, ma è anche diventato molto consapevole, così come lo erano i cacciatori-raccoglitori in contrasto con gli esseri umani moderni, impegnati in uno stile di vita più automatizzato.

Il progetto comprende 1.000.000 di foto di tutti gli oggetti che il soggetto ha utilizzato nel corso della sua vita adulta, 432.000 dei suoi sogni, 93.312 delle canzoni che ha ascoltato, 25.950 dei suoi pensieri, 77.760 dei luoghi pubblici che ha visitato, 3.456 ritratti delle persone che ha incontrato, 38.880 idee che gli sono venute in mente, 6.912 collage dei rifiuti che ha trovato sul marciapiede, 10.368 forme delle nuvole che ha osservato e molto altro ancora.
